What is BETTER DECKS?

Better Decks helps you design, build, and upgrade stunning decks with creative ideas, expert tips, and inspiration to transform your outdoor space.

What's the difference between an arbor and a pergola?

An arbor is smaller (typically 2-4 feet deep) and used to frame a path or entry. A pergola is larger and covers a patio or deck seating area.

Can I install an arbor myself?

Small arbors can be DIY, but custom arbors with proper anchoring and integrated lighting are best left to professionals.

Do you offer a warranty on arbors in East Texas?

Yes, every project includes our workmanship guarantee. Material warranties vary by manufacturer — composite decking typically carries 25-50 year warranties, while pressure-treated wood includes manufacturer coverage. We explain all warranty details during your East Texas consultation.

About Our Arbors

An arbor is a smaller, simpler structure than a pergola — perfect for framing a garden path, gate, or seating area. Arbors add vertical interest and support climbing plants. Custom deck design transforms your ideas into a buildable plan. We consider your home's architecture, yard layout, and how you want to use the space.
